It’s with a heavy heart that I’m reaching out for my brother, Larry.
This is something I never imagined I would have to write.
Larry is facing a devastating cancer diagnosis. The cancer has spread throughout his body in an alarmingly short amount of time. Watching someone you love endure this is heartbreaking. Living it is unimaginable.
When Larry was first diagnosed, he was without stable housing. Instead of being treated as a cancer patient in need of urgent care, too often he was seen through the lens of his past. His pain was dismissed. His suffering was minimized. And during that time, the cancer continued to spread.
Now he is preparing to begin chemotherapy.
Chemo is not just a treatment. It is a physical and emotional battle. It weakens the body. It drains strength. It brings uncertainty. And while he is trying to fight for his life, the financial pressure does not stop.
Medical appointments. Specialists. Prescriptions. Transportation. Daily living expenses. Even with insurance, so much is not covered. The costs keep coming.
I have been doing everything I can to make sure Larry has a safe place to stay and access to care, including covering hotel costs so hospice could treat his excruciating pain. But this is more than one person can carry alone.
No one fighting cancer should also be fighting to survive financially.
Asking for help is not easy. But the reality is, Larry needs support.
If you are able to donate, any amount truly helps. Your generosity will go directly toward his medical care and basic living expenses as he begins chemotherapy.
If you cannot give financially, please consider sharing this page or leaving a comment. Visibility matters more than most people realize.
Thank you for standing with Larry during the hardest fight of his life.
With gratitude and hope.
