Dear Friends and Family,
To everyone who knows and loves Loren Wight—a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend to all who cross his path—we want to share an unexpected turn in his journey. Throughout the years, Loren has been courageously facing various health challenges, including a recent diabetes diagnosis. Now, after new developments, we’re faced with a much larger hurdle: Loren has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
The tumor is significant and requires surgery for removal. However, the first step is a series of chemotherapy treatments to reduce its size. Recently, the initial plan was put on hold when Loren’s blood pressure and vitals weren't stable enough for the surgery to insert his chemo port, so his doctors are carefully re-evaluating his next steps.
As Loren's family, we're supporting him through many trips to Seattle for specialized care, and the travel and medical expenses are adding up. Many of you have kindly asked how you can help, so we’re providing a safe and straightforward way for anyone who wishes to contribute financially to these expenses.
Please know that this isn’t easy to share, but it’s important to us to ensure any help given goes directly to Loren's care. Most of all, we’re extremely grateful for your love, support, and especially your prayers as we walk this path together. Thank you for being with us during this difficult time.
Lastly, I want to share that he is steadfast in his journey to remain positive and influential with his mission to witness and spread the word of God to everyone his path crosses. He turns every hurdle into a purpose of why he might've been brought to that specific place and time and accepts with grace why he is in the care of multiple health providers, some of whom he may have a spiritual impact. Go Dad!
With love and gratitude, Jenny Bowles and family
