This is Lora, many of you reading this know her, and her story well, while some of you may not. Lora happens to be my mom. Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer around 8 years ago. having a double mastectomy and battling it out, she was able to beat it and make a full recovery, or so we thought.

About 8 months ago, mom began experiencing pretty excruciating pain in her right side, along with horrible joint pain in her hips and legs. After what seemed like dozens of hospital and ER trips being sent home with no explanation, a large mass was found in her right lung. In what seemed like the blink of an eye, and only a few days back home, another cancer diagnosis. This time in her lungs, liver, and most scary...bones. Finding out the bone cancer had created fractures, spurs and eaten away at the structure of the bones themselves a hip replacement was scheduled along with a surgery to remove the fluid filling the right lung along with a drain tube for a number of weeks. Then the chemo started again. Through learning to walk again, and the twice weekly trips to chemo, mom kept a smile and always said she was doing "just fine". And, to those of you who know Lora...this is nothing out of character. And through it all, somehow tried her best to never miss a day of work.

So, a few times a week, mom and her cane, would make the trip to chemo and radiation. Wondering when the pain in her hips and back would stop. But the pain in her back and hips didn't stop. Because as it turns out the damage done by the bone cancer had degraded the bone structure and created so many spurs that surgery was not possible.

News of cancer remission as chemo ended, and happiness as moms hair started making a return appearance like Tom Brady every time he said he was going to retire. Then, around this time, mom began losing function in her hands. She noticed weakens which quickly turned into arthritis and complete neuropathy. Opening jars became impossible, eating with utensils, walking the dog, normal everyday tasks became a chore. The pain in her legs and hips also persisted. Mom became unable to work. She was able to squeak by on some savings and a small widows pension she was receiving.

Luckily, she was living in a home we had remodeled for her on my property so housing was being taken care of.

Around 2 months ago strange vision changes began happening. headaches that wouldn't go away, difficulty speaking at times. And once again...she was met with a cancer diagnosis. This time of the brain. A little under 50 spots of an aggressive form of brain cancer were found on a MRI.

10 days of Radiation, followed by a very very aggressive chemotherapy treatment...the radiation just ended.

Unfortunately, there are going to be many many things that change in moms life. Repairs and modifications made to her home, transportation needs, specialized medical necessitates that insurance does not and will not cover, along with living expenses that she, and we, will need help with

So we ask for ANY help that can be given financially. If its a dollar, a thousand dollars, or just sharing this post and a prayer. We are thankful for it all.

We know this time of year is expensive. And for anyone who can give we will be eternally grateful and in your debt. If you can find it in your heart to help. We thank you. If you cant afford it, or don't believe in these...that's ok too! just sharing it so hopefully someone that can sees it.

Thank you to all who have already donated time to mom. It means the world to me, and I am forever thankful to you.

Thank you, Merry Christmas and God Bless
