Update I have changed the goal down to what donations I have received for Lonnie's rehab because I will not be able to travel to Oklahoma due to my upcoming surgeries so I have taken that off besides his final rehab liaison has told me they prefer family not be there while they are settling in. due to those facts I have lowered the goal down to what I have already received I will use that to get his clothes that he needs at the rehab and to get a phone for him when he is ready in about a month those are things that the family will have to buy for him and I will use that money for the that The rehab updated me today and said that we have to supply six pairs of clothing and we will have to supply a phone in about a month when he is ready and so that is what I will use the GoFundMe for if at that time I'm short and can't come up with it on my own I will maybe do another little GoFundMe but at this time he is waiting for insurance approval to go to his rehab and he will be there for at least a year. On March 15th, 2025, Lonnie Morrison ( my baby brother) was riding his bike equipped with a dirt bike motor he had recently put on. Going through a parking lot in Detroit Lakes, he hit a wire after dark that couldn't be seen at 30 mph. The bike stopped, and he did not. Thank God 911 was called. He was taken to Fargo on life support, where he remained with broken bones, a lacerated liver, a punctured lung, and a significant brain injury with a bleed on the front left and back of his head.

He remained on life support for 2 weeks. The third week, he was trained by his team to breathe on his own, and a trach was put in picking up the bottom half of each breath. By weeks 7 and 8, he was weaned off the trach. Up to this point, he has been a miracle; there's just no other way to put it. He had no physical paralysis, was up and walking very soon, and a couple of weeks ago started getting back to his God-given personality at birth. It has been a life-changing experience for a 50-year-old man who worked 17-hour days to be totally dependent on somebody else.

He is at one of the last steps of this medical journey; however, it will be the hardest step. He will be released from the hospital and transferred to an out-of-state rehab facility that best fits his needs for 9 months to a year and 3 months, and this is where my GoFundMe comes into play. Up until now, the family has gotten him what he has needed. However, this next step is pretty big for even us, and that is as follows: he is at a place where he can be introduced back to a cell phone, a laptop, etc. I would like to provide those to him from all of you. Also, he will be traveling by helicopter to the rehab facility because of his TBI; he cannot travel any other way. He is allowed one family member for a free helicopter ride there; however, they will not get the family member back home or pay for lodging or any other expenses. I would like to be that family member. I would love to surprise my brother by telling him I can fly with him there and settle him in, but I need help from all of you to get back home and to be safe while I'm there, which is the remainder of my goal. I don't mind posting receipts or updating or anything that you would need to persuade you to help out. That is my request for my brother. This is going to be a long year, and he has a very good chance of recovering memory from before the accident and repairing cognitive detailed behaviors and his very distinctive speech that everybody knew and loved.

My brother will know that these gifts came from you all. I will keep him informed. I'm sure we will update with photos and such.

Please share and get this out even if it's to people you don't know. I have a limited time; he is due to fly out on the 1st. If by chance I can't make the helicopter ride because the funds are not there yet and do arrive later, I will travel to his facility to visit. Thank you in advance tremendously. Myself and my family send you a great big "God Bless you" in advance.

Lonnie's sister, Pamela.
