Update: Legal Retainer Increased to $20,000
First, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Because of you, we have already raised over $7,000 toward helping Loni fight for her animals. The support, shares, and donations have meant more than words can express.
We want to be fully transparent about the next step.
After reviewing the scope and urgency of the case, the attorney has informed Loni that a $20,000 retainer is required. This is not because of wrongdoing it is because this type of case is complex, time-sensitive, and requires immediate, intensive legal attention.
Her legal team will need to:
• Respond quickly to any pending or potential charges
• File emergency motions related to custody of the animals
• Review seizure documentation and reports
• Prepare for possible hearings
• Redirect substantial time and resources to prioritize this case
To give Loni the best possible defense and chance at reuniting with her dogs, the attorney must temporarily shift focus from other cases, which increases the upfront retainer requirement.
We understand $20,000 is a significant amount. Legal defense in cases involving animal seizures and potential criminal charges is extremely expensive, especially when urgency is involved.
Loni is fighting not just for her reputation, but for the safe return of the animals she has cared for and loved for years.
If you have already donated, thank you. If you are able to share this page again or contribute toward closing the remaining gap, every single dollar truly matters.
Transparency is important to us, and we will continue providing updates as we are able.
Thank you for standing with Loni during this incredibly difficult time.
