My name is London, and I'm reaching out during what feels like one of the hardest transitions I have faced.

For those less familiar with my story, I've always tried to use whatever gifts I have to uplift others. I've worked with school districts, mentored young people, and even created sponsorship opportunities through my company so other artists didn't have to wait for "the perfect moment" to share their work. Pouring into my community has always been what drives me.

For years, I was also my grandmother's caretaker. That responsibility shaped most of my adult life, and I carried it with so much love, even when I didn't have much support while trying to also build my future. When she passed in 2022, I thought I'd finally be able to step into the life she always prayed for me to have. But because of how my grandparents' trust was configured, I've been stuck in a legal and financial mess that won't allow me to embrace this new chapter.

Within the trust, my uncle was designated as the trustee while he and I were listed as the sole beneficiaries. The trust has ownership of her home, and we initially planned to use it as a launch pad for a family-run real estate venture. I stepped away from the idea once it became clear that he had other intentions. Over time, I discovered he had mismanaged the trust in the form of unpaid bills and property taxes. While I no longer reside at or use the home, my role as a beneficiary places me at risk if something were to happen to him. The cleanest and quickest way to protect myself and finally close this chapter is to legally disclaim my interest in the trust.

I've already spoken with an attorney who can handle this at a reasonable cost. But between navigating a layoff during the first half of the year and having to move between apartments only a couple of months after finding a new role, I'm unable to cover legal costs and everything that comes with completing residency and registration updates in addition to finding overall stability again.

I'm asking for some assistance in raising $1000 to cover disclaiming my trust interest and all related costs of freeing me from this situation. After giving so much of my life to pouring into others, this new season is about reclaiming the future my grandmother wanted for me, and creating space to focus on my music, my business, and the community work that fulfills me.
