Lonchita underwent a bilateral lung transplant on Wednesday, February 5, after two years of enduring an unexpected Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension diagnosis.

We are grateful that we don't have to worry about the medical expenses of her transplant, but her parents will be out of work for quite some time and have been sleeping on straight-back chairs in the waiting room, and eating cold leftovers (they don’t currently have access to a refrigerator) for almost every meal.

Remaining funds, once the family's essential needs to support Chita's recovery are raised, will go to Chita to financially assist her in her long-term recovery process.
