Assalamu alaikum!! I'm Lolla, and some of you may know me as Lula :) I'm raising funds for the first time in my life for myself -- I'm in a place where I'm trying to invite Allah's rizq (blessings) upon me and not block something He (SWT) may be wanting to give me. I've been there for others in the community and now I am asking for the community to choose to invest in me.
For a few months, I've been receiving messages from God to take a 3-month intensive on healing trauma. The program is with a certified Muslim trauma healing coach, who is also a practicing physician's assistant. She has backgrounds in the fields of mental health, Islamic studies, trauma/EMDR therapy, hypnotherapy, and ruqya shariah (Islamic healing). She offers workshops and long-term intensives for Muslim women and women of color needing healing from chronic or unprocessed trauma, and navigating interpersonal dynamics.
I rarely talk about the things I have personally experienced or dealt with because those things are personal. If some of you knew me before, in my artist/writer days, then you know a bit about my personal story. Recently, it has become apparent to me that my personal traumas are holding me back from the things I want in my life. My trauma is also holding me back from succeeding in certain aspects of my deen (faith) and getting closer to Allah/God. I want to heal in order to become a better version of myself and remove the blockages on my mind, soul, and life, inshaAllah.
I am asking, humbly, requesting my community of friends, teachers, mentors, and colleagues, to choose to invest in me and my growth in this small way, if you are able. Anything will count and anything truly helps. I have been wishing for a way for the rizq to just come to me to do this program. However, sometimes WE have to tie our camel, too (ie, can't just sit and pray -- gotta make the way, too!). I can't just wait for money to fall from the sky.
In an ideal world, I would have the savings needed and pay my way through this program. However, I'm a full-time Islamic Studies student, and my current part-time job teaching kids Quran is just enough, alhamdulillah, to cover my basic living expenses. I don't have the savings to invest in myself for a healing program like this.
Truly, I believe this program is what I need for my life to change -- it would be my duaas (prayers) answered. The trauma coach uses a unique blend of Islamic healing methods, psychology, somatics, EMDR, and halal hypnotherapy to unlock deep trauma.
Currently, there is no other healer or therapist I've found that uses this combination. I have been looking for this for over a decade. I have done therapy before many times and it hasn't fully helped. I've also tried many other alternative healing methods but nothing has been able to offer me what I strongly feel this sister would be able to, inshaAllah.
I am asking you to believe in me, invest in me and my growth, and support me in my journey and fulfilling my destiny, inshaAllah. Hope you can help, and I ask God to bless you ten times more with whatever you choose to invest in me.
May God bless you!
With healing and love,
Lolla (aka Lula)
