Hi friends & family,
Lots of you know Lola & her tough story out of the shelters & into my heart. She has not had it easy & even in my care we have struggled. She a young 5 y.o pitty, I adopted her 1/2022 as the shelters last 2021 pup & have been blessed ever since. She's become more than a dog to me & has truly become essential as I live with anxiety & depression daily. She was accepted as my ESA just a week before her injuries occurred. As many of you know of the recent injury she has endured & the devastating toll it has brought into our world. Miss Lola completely tore her right ACL on 6/17, her zoomies got the best of her & she was not able to complete her jump on the bed. We visited an urgent care & got news of a partial left tear & arthritis in her R hip, effecting her ability to jump ultimately causing the initial injury. After about 5-7 days, she unfortunately tore the left side completely due to overcompensation. We have been adjusting day by day, but the cost has became overwhelming considering the condition of her injuries. Lola encountered a pretty tough dog bite from another pitty back in February & we are barely getting over those vet bills & the behavioral changes it has brought upon her. I was not thrilled to create a gofundme, I know times are hard for most of us right now & a dog is a dog to a lot of people, but the only other real option would be to put her down & that just isnt in my heart to do, so I am asking for donations to help get Lola the double TPLO surgery she needs. We have been blessed with help to get her a wheelchair & wagon for transportation & help with her medications & diet changes as she has been reactive to the meds & is on a special diet, likely thru surgery. We are just facing the cost of surgery & aftercare at this point. Anything donated is appreciated beyond belief by Lola & myself, & if you arent able to donate, please send love and strength for us to get thru this tough time. Thank you for taking the time to read our story & make a difference in our lives.
