I never imagined I would be in this position, but life shifted quickly. I’ve recently been diagnosed with colorectal cancer connected to Lynch syndrome and am preparing for major surgery and recovery. As a mom of three, this season requires me to pause in a way I never have before. Between an unexpected job change and needing to step back from work to focus on my health, I’m facing both a medical and financial challenge at the same time. Day-to-day, this has been one of the hardest adjustments for me. I’ve always been someone who is constantly moving—working, showing up for my clients, and taking care of my kids. Slowing down doesn’t come naturally to me, but right now, it’s necessary. My children are my world, and everything I’m doing is to make sure I’m here for them long-term. Right now, that means preparing for surgery, managing appointments, and trying to create as much stability for them as possible while everything around us feels uncertain. Stability, for me, means being able to keep a roof over our heads, keep our utilities on, and maintain some sense of normalcy for my kids while I focus on healing. It also means having reliable transportation for medical appointments and for my children, especially after recently losing access to my car. This support will go toward maintaining stability for my family—covering essential living expenses such as mortgage and utilities, transportation needs, childcare and support for my kids, and helping bridge the income gap while I’m unable to work during recovery. In the months ahead, my hope is simple—to heal, to regain my strength, and to return to doing what I love: serving others and supporting my family. I am deeply grateful for any support, whether it’s financial, prayers, or words of encouragement.
