Hi everyone, I don’t usually do this but this happened so unexpectedly.
Lola was born in my home as part of a litter I was caring for. I partnered with a rescue that reached out to me when I posted the pups for adoption on a community app to help get the puppies adopted, and thankfully, several of them found homes through that process. and 4/5 of the litter received their initial shots to be okay. Throughout this time, I continued to care for Lola directly.
Recently, due to a medical emergency, I was unable to stay on top of communication for three weeks. During that time, I continued covering Lola’s care myself, including food and flea medication.
Now, I’m being required to pay an adoption fee to officially keep Lola. While I understand the process, this situation escalated very quickly without much opportunity for conversation, and I’m trying to resolve it as smoothly as possible so I can keep her with me.
Lola has never left my side, this is the only home she’s ever known. The alternative would involve her being relocated out of state, which I’m not comfortable with based on a prior experience where I lost contact with another puppy after transport.
I’m asking for help to cover her $200 adoption fee the rescue is demanding for her to stay in state and with me.
Anything helps, and I truly appreciate everyone’s support ):
Thank you for helping me keep Lola home
