Support Lola to Live with Comfort, Freedom and Dignity
Donation protected
I’ve known Lola for nearly 30 years, and if there’s one thing that’s always defined her, it’s fierce independence.
With her Blundstone boots on, she’s spent years four-wheel driving in her Troopy, chainsawing and clearing land, building and living in off-grid shacks, camping under the stars, and travelling far and wide. Lola has lived unapologetically — connected deeply to nature, community, and those she holds dear.
She’s also been a quiet force of strength for many — walking with people through birth, life, and death. Her life has been wild, raw, and beautifully real.
Now, Lola is navigating one of her greatest challenges yet: Stage 4 bowel cancer, which has spread to her lungs, lymph nodes, and brain. Despite this, her determination to live with autonomy and connection remains unchanged.
How You Can Help
Lola is moving into a self-contained cabin that will offer her some much-needed stability and comfort. She needs support to:
Furnish the space with essentials (bed, fridge, washing machine, etc.)
Access transport options like an e-bike or Uber rides to get groceries, attend appointments, and stay connected to nature and community
Cover the cost of ongoing complementary treatments to support her comfort and wellbeing
Some of these needs fall outside NDIS funding which she is waiting to be approved for, and that’s where this fundraiser comes in.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for helping support Lola to live her remaining time with the freedom, dignity, and connection she’s always embodied.
