Lola’s left eye has Melanoma and has to be removed. After it’s removed, biopsied and evaluated, I’ll know what grade of the melanoma (early, regular, late) to determine the level of concern and if we should get any additional testing to see if it spread.

Lola’s pigment started to change about 6 years ago and the vet we were seeing at that time, dismissed it and said “torti’s often have excess pigment”. Had I known..

At the end of March, I had to max out a credit card for my own surgery, bc health care in America is horrendous (but that’s a different issue) and wouldn’t ask if I didn’t have crushing anxiety over accumulating more credit card debt.

Lola is my first born, my first pet and I can’t fathom a future that we don’t exist together.
