Hello... My name is Loki!

I am a 2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier and I LOVE LIFE! Every morning is a brand new day that I am so excited for. I love to go on long tugs (walks to you humans), play on the beach, run in the snow and play ball....and I am really good at playing ball! Followed up by cuddling with my people, my sister and brother... But there is a problem with my breed. I am prone to breaking my ACL or in dogs the CCL (Cranial Cruciale Ligament) who knew? So I am limping and in pain, but I'm a tough boy so I try not to show it to my Mama....too much. But the Doctor said I can't play ball, or go on long tugs for now so my heart is breaking. These are the things I live for so I'm very sad. To get me back to what I love I need an expensive surgery. It is called a TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) and I will be out of action for at least 8 weeks. The surgery will cost $6000.00. It requires a special Doctor to do the job right, and with my energy level I will need it to be done right cause I'm crazy for loving life! My Mama wants to do right by me but she is a student, a volunteer (at the animal shelter where I picked her) and can only work part time for now and I do not want to be the reason she stops going to school. She can only afford to do so much. So I am asking for your help to assist my Mama in getting me fixed up so I can be a happy wiggly butt again and be my silly self.
