Hi everyone,
This is my Loki my first pet, my very first baby. He’s only 3 years old and became family the moment I picked him up from a sketchiest Craigslist meetup in a random Kmart parking lot. Anyone who has ever met him knows how special he is. He’s beyond sassy, affectionate, and the kind of cat everyone instantly loves. The best cat ever.
Right now, Loki is hospitalized and fighting Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) — a painful and serious bladder condition that requires constant monitoring, medication, and intensive supportive care. He is currently admitted so the veterinary team can manage his pain, keep him stable, and give him the best possible chance at a full recovery.
Any pet owner can understand the fear and heartbreak of hearing your animal cry out in pain and feeling completely helpless. That was me last night, watching my baby suffer, and not knowing how to make it stop, not knowing if he would make it, hating myself for not noticing the severity earlier. I wouldn’t wish that feeling on anyone.
Thankfully, we caught this in time and avoided what could have been a fatal outcome. But the level of care required comes at a heavy cost. Loki’s medical expenses have already reached $8,000+, and may increase depending on his recovery.
I am a college student and recently unemployed for the upcoming semester due to school. While I would do absolutely anything for Loki, I am not in a position to handle this financial burden alone. Asking for help is incredibly difficult, but for my pet, I will put my pride aside every single time. Loki means everything to me and my family.
Every donation, no matter the size:
• Helps cover hospitalization and medications
• Supports ongoing treatment and recovery
• Gives Loki the chance to come home, heal, and return to being the happy, cuddly boy we all love
If you’re not able to donate, even sharing this means more than you know.
If you’ve read this far, thank you for caring, for supporting us, and for helping me save my baby. Your kindness is giving Loki a second chance at the long, healthy life he deserves.
With so much gratitude,
Loki, Catherine, & Family
