My name is Lois Kuettel and I am a swimmer for the Superior Whalers. I have qualified for the Junior Olympics in Houston, Texas! This is an incredible opportunity to test my skills against the best swimmers in the nation.

This is my third year of competitive swimming. During the 2024-2025 season, I crushed all my personal records from the year prior. At sections, held in Grand Rapids, MN, I took 2 First Place (50 Butterfly and 50 Backstroke) and 1 Second Place (50 Freestyle). This advanced me to State, held at the Freeman Aquatics Center in Minneapolis. At State, I took another 2 First Place (50 Butterfly and 50 Freestyle) and 1 Second (50 Backstroke). Then in March, I traveled with my team to Des Moines, IA for Regionals where we competed against swimmers from all over the Midwest. I competed in 7 individual events. At this meet, I achieved my season goal of breaking a team record. I swam the 100 Freestyle in 1:06.99, breaking the team record set in 2007! Overall, I placed 3rd in the entire region for Girls 10-year-old.

Now I’m training for my next big meet in Houston! I am asking for your help to make my dream a reality. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping me achieve my goals of swimming at the Junior Olympics.
