Support Lois in Urgent HVAC Replacement
Donation protected
Hello, friends! My name is Lois Kimball, and a series of misfortunes has left me in dire need of your assistance. I appreciate your taking the time to read my little tale o’ woe.
I need a vital home repair to survive the upcoming desert summer, which has already broken several heat records.
What left me in such dire straits? Failing health caused my early retirement, from a University of Arizona job I loved, at age seventy.
That was some years ago, and by the time my health was finally on the upswing, my savings were badly depleted. Worse; my house is just as aging as I am. What little I had left has been eaten up this year by replacing what important elements I could. Such as lighting / electrical components and appliances...
But now a vital component has outright broken for good. On Mother’s Day, no less. From that day, the air conditioner / heater (HVAC) system has been as dead as a door nail. And the system is so old, I can’t get any replacement parts---or even that particular type of freon to power it with---at all.
The system must be replaced.
And I haven’t a drop of money to go toward it.
Thankfully, Costco is offering me a deal to replace my HVAC with a new one. I don’t have a swamp cooler or any other means of cooling the home besides fans.
But their deal runs out on June 10th, 2025.
Please, please, make your donations quickly. Even if the amount doesn’t seem high to you---hopefully it will all add up quickly.
All donations will go toward the installation of the new unit. I have always prided myself upon standing on my own two feet. With my health issues in the rear view mirror, I can swiftly close this fundraiser once the HVAC is installed and live off my well-earned retirement and social security; if I can get my house back under me.
Please don’t let me become a statistic. Everyone in Arizona and New Mexico sees those news reports every year: those who didn’t have your helping hands, who passed away, from nothing more than not having a functional HVAC and trying to power through anyway. The last three weeks, with just regular room fans, have started negatively affecting my health again.
Thank you for your generosity. And, again, thank you for your time reading this. If you can’t fund this personally, I’d still appreciate that you share the fundraiser’s link. Every little bit helps!
Bless you,
Lois
