Support Logan's Future in Memory of Heather Jernstad

Last month, our community lost a sweet and caring person, Heather Jernsted. Heather was a wife, mother, nurse, and sports mom. She was a kind-hearted person who loved her family unconditionally. She worked as a nurse, putting others' needs above her own. Heather's pride and joy was her son, Logan. You could find the Jernsted family cheering on their boy at Rockets baseball, basketball, and CYFL & Central Football games. Heather could be heard cheering on Logan and the team at any point during the game. She was so proud of Logan.

My name is Michelle Schmidt, a fellow community sports mom. When I heard the news of this terrible loss, my heart just sank. How can someone with so much joy for life be taken from her loving family? Heather had fought that battle, that nobody likes to talk about, with such bravery, never wanting anything from anyone. She went on with her life as if it were just a bump in the road. She kept rolling on!

I'm sure that you, like me, immediately think of Logan, her only son. With our community being small, we really get to know our sports families well. With that being said, I just couldn't let this go without trying to show how much Heather's life touched not only me but the rest of our community.
