A lot of you know him by Logan, but others know him as Dayne. Just very recently he was diagnosed with 3 different types of germ cell cancer. It has moved pretty rapidly and aggressively. Too bad for it though, our guy is just as tough as this cancer. He has been at Driscoll children’s hospital the last week and has started his first rounds of chemo. Hoping to bust him out of there by next week. Moving forward, he will have 5 consecutive days of chemo (9 hours each dose) for three weeks with two weeks “off”. They will be driving back and forth to Driscoll from George West during this time. Anticipated to last 16(+) weeks. Logan (Dayne) is a sophomore at GWHS, finished his freshman year with an 4.0 in honors classes, and is one heck of an athlete! During his chemo treatments he will be doing school work from home. His mom Sarah has just recently graduated nursing school but employment will be on hold through the rest of year while they travel back and forth for treatment's. As expected, the world keeps spinning and expenses keep piling up. First and foremost we ask that the prayers keep coming! They are feeling them. Let’s show Logan and Sarah how our communities rally together and stand behind one of our own. I would like to try to take a small fraction of the stress away by minimizing the financial burden as much as we can. Anything helps and is appreciated!!! I will try and update as I can.
