Support Logan's Eagle Project for Aid a Pet
Donation protected

My name is Logan Dunn, and I am a Life Scout working towards achieving the rank of Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts of America, now known as Scouting America. As part of this journey, I plan, develop, and execute a service project that benefits my community.
My Eagle Scout project involves constructing a pet food pantry for Aid a Pet, which is a volunteer organization that focuses on assisting those in need with pet supplies and pet services. You can read more about the mission of Aid a Pet here: Aid a Pet Link. Lorie Reardon (below) is the founder.
Aid a Pet's food distribution center operates out of space generously made available at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Hartford, Connecticut. Below is a picture taken during distribution day where I volunteered (that's me in the red sweatshirt), with the future pantry location in the background.
My pet food pantry project consists of two new wood-frame walls with sheetrock sheathing, a lockable door, a passthrough window, and five rolling shelving units for interior storage. Here is a photo of the first shelving unit I constructed, in its new home.
The project is estimated to require approximately $4,000 of construction materials and labor.
This project will allow Aid a Pet to expand its operation to serve a greater segment of the community. For my part, I will also gain a sense of responsibility and leadership.
I am seeking financial support to bring this project to life. This support will help ensure its success and make a positive impact on our community. I would appreciate any contributions, and any unused funds will go to support the Aid a Pet organization and its operation.
