Support Logan Parker's Cardiac Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
On Thursday, July 25th Logan went to his PCP after not feeling well for a few days. His doctor did an EKG and called an ambulance. He was transported to the ER and given a cardiac work up. He was admitted and was going to be treated for AFib the next day. What seemed to be a pretty normal cardiac procedure was anything but, he had a 90% blockage in his main aorta (the widow maker). His heart was too weak to transport him to Boston or even RIH so he was treated at Landmark, and what an amazing job they did. Logan had many cardiac interventions to try and allow his heart to pump without stressing it, he was living hour by hour, with a transplant or LVAD being his only next available options.
Fast forward 2 weeks and Logan is home!! It is truly amazing. He will be wearing a cardiac life vest for the foreseeable future and will have lots of cardiac care. His road to revovery is just starting and will need all the support he can get.
This came out of nowhere, after all Logan was over-all pretty healthy and younger. This has been a roller-coaster ride for Logan, Christine and Owen. Navigating all of his care and medical needs will be challenging, so I am asking if you could donate anything at all to alleviate just a little bit of stress this wonderful family has been dealing with.
