Fall 2023 Logan’s voice progressively became raspy. His doctor put him on a steroid. That did NOT help. The ENT doctor in Willmar noticed a suspicious spot on his larynx-did a biopsy=positive for squamous cell carcinoma with a diagnosis of Larynx Cancer. Referred to the Cancer Center in Willmar for treatment and from there referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for more extensive care because of his age and aggressive type of Cancer. (Age 21) Logan has undergone 3 rounds of a high dose Chemo since mid-May— phase 2 of the treatment which is a combination of radiation & chemo. Because of the aggressive form of Cancer they are doing radiation twice a day. STARTING… Monday-Friday for 6 weeks vs the normal once a day for 7 weeks originally planned. If they find that the Radiation is NOT doing what is expected - will move to complete voice box removal to cure him. He will be moving to Rochester Sunday July 14th for the duration of this next phase.

Logan has been so unbelievably positive through this all – he has taken very good care of himself, eating healthy, avoiding sugar and working out regularly. The doctors have been amazed by his good health and phenomenal labs so far. He is a real Warrior! We are in great hands at the Mayo Clinic and he has a huge team of AMAZING doctors that are all working together to cure him of this nasty disease!

please PRAY LOGANS doctors FIND All and eliminate every OUNCE of cancer….and for Logan to feel EVERY bit of peace ALONGSIDE his mom and dad AND Makayla, as he waits his outcome.
