Hi, my name is Sarah Miller and I have set up this go fund me for my close friends, the Hair family so they can help their son Logan who now needs a heart transplant. Please consider helping out with medical bills, parking downtown, food they have to buy on the road to be by his side. Below is a snippet from Logan’s dad explaining what happened.
Ohh our little Logan! What a warrior he is.
As most know he was discharged after a week stay at TCH the end of April/ beginning of May. He was able to finish up school with his classmates. Tuesday (4/28) Logan had his first outpatient Cardiomyopathy/ heart failure appointment. He seemed to be doing ok and we moved around some meds. Friday Logan couldn’t hold down any food.
They decided to call downtown and let the team know what was going on. They were advised to watch him overnight which he did great. He kept some Pringles down and toast with his meds. Saturday morning they followed up with the fellow on call and they wanted Logan to come to the hospital to get some bloodwork done.
After observation and the results of bloodwork and an echo, Logan was admitted into the ICU where he still is. His heart wasn’t responding as they had wished with the medication he was sent home on. Since Saturday Logan has met with multiple teams to figure out the next steps to get him home and healthy.
Their insurance has approved the evaluation process to get him on the heart transplant list. We haven’t started the process yet, but he has had a lot of procedures done that are needed for it. The medicine he’s on right now cannot be given outside of the hospital, so Logan will be at Texas Children’s for the foreseeable future.
They are starting the evaluation process this morning and Friday with the multiple doctors and medical professionals and will finish up next Monday. Once finished the results will be reviewed and brought to the medical review board Friday of next week.
Update #4 6/14/24
Logan rocked the conduit change like we knew he would. The surgeon left his chest open in anticipation of implanting an LVAD (heartmate 3), which is what we’re doing today. They took him back to the OR a little after 9 this morning to get started on installing the device. The pump will be Logan’s bridge to get him to transplant and make him able to come home to get stronger. Thank you everyone for all the love and support! He also has his turtle Zippy with him. Zippy has been with Logan through every surgery and has been his protector since the beginning!!

Update #3 6/12/24
Logan is now in the more than capable hands of Dr. Atachi. We spoke with the doctor this morning and he is confident he knows what’s going to be best for Logan from a surgical standpoint. Just got the first update that he’s snoozing away with no issues. Please keep Logan in your thoughts and prayers #ourwarriorlogan
Update #2 6/11/24
**Update on #ourwarriorlogan
Well tomorrow it looks like Logan will be having his conduit replaced that’s been a part of his life since he was right at 8 months old. As of right now that is the only thing they are planning to do unless they deem it necessary to take other interventions to keep him stable. For now they are going to push the transplant committee meeting back until he recovers from this surgery some. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for the surgery as well as healing and recovery. Thank you everyone for everything y’all have done. Please continue to share his pages and get his story out there!! #ourwarriorlogan
✌out week 1! Hello week 2! Today’s been super busy.
Scarlett had her EKG, Echo, vitals and a meeting with the cardiomyopathy team that’s working with Logan. She is ❤️HEART HEALTHY!!!!! still waiting for Genetics but everything looked perfect!
Our Heart Warrior Logan has been making improvements. Getting up more, keeping food down (with help from meds), keeping that positive attitude and contagious smile that melts me every time.
Logan had an infection in his conduit and the last 3 to 4 cultures have came back NEGATIVE! The antibiotics are doing their job.

This is a big one! Since his blood stream is cleared from the infection Logan will be getting his conduit switched out TOMORROW morning and possibly adding a LVAD. Praying hard it’s the one he’s able to come home on and can get stronger for the transplant.
As hard as it is to see him like this I am sooo very proud of all his hard work. He is determined to get out of here and live life to the fullest!
today he rode a tricycle around the floor with 20 pound weights in the back, then walked a few laps. Trying to keep those soccer legs strong! ⚽️
Here is a few pics from today! I am SO very proud of my kids for being so strong during this difficult time.
shout out to the BEST husband, dad, person ever for being here day and night for all of us. We aren’t the easy clan but we sure are the best! We LOVE you sooo much!
