Support local lunch lady with medical recovery

Hi, my name is Jill and I'm fundraising for my friend and co-worker Jean Mackey. I, and many others, know Jean as the Nutrition Services Lead at Beaver Acres Elementary School. She is gracious, kind, and always smiling. She prepares and serves two meals a day to over 600 kids. She is an essential part of our school and she needs our help!

I have watched Jean in amazement for months as she's continued to work in spite of the pain she endures from numerous medical challenges, including chemotherapy! She is one of the strongest people I know and incredibly devoted to her job and the kids at Beaver Acres.

Jean has known for a while that surgery would eventually be necessary and now that time has come. At the end of February, she will undergo a liver embolization surgery. This will mean a three week recovery and the loss of wages.

I am starting this gofundme to help raise money to cover Jean's lost wages during her recovery so she can continue to pay her bills, her rent and buy food. Please consider donating towards our goal of $2,000! Thank you!
