I'm a 28, Bay Area based student, on her second semester at San Francisco State University., Being a former foster youth I struggled through 4 years at Chabot Community College; with no Financial assistance, living on my own, working 40 plus hours with a smile on my face despite the daily struggle. I've made it to yet another milestone in my life and I WONT STOP NOW. Unfortunately I do not qualify for a majority of the assistance because of my age. But that hasn't stopped me here's what I've done for myself;
What I've done so far:
Using my newly launched company Zahra Fitness I've created a platform to empower women and men to love their authentic selves. Through fitness in the past year I've become a Bay Area activist . On the corner of 18th st & Mandela Parkway you can see a photo of me taken by @amirthephotographer to show all of the world that I am apart of something so much bigger than a health & fitness movement but a CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT. I have connected with Black & Brown brands, healed my community, and now created a website to amplify my message.
Fall Semester 2020 I received straight A's and would be happy to share these results to show proof your donations helped me pay tuition and helped ease stress to then allow me to show you black excellence.
Thank you to all whom have donated thus far and please continue to show love.
I WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN
What you can do:
If you have the means, please pay it
forward and donate $10,$20,$50, or $100
I'm not asking for help to cover my whole tuition just a piece because I BELIEVE hard work pays off.
Any amount goes helping me obtain my bachelors in Sociology and minor in Africana Studies. I seek to be a beacon for my community and this generation. I want to show the world what a STRONG educated BLACK woman can do. I appreciate the love and support.
