On the morning of June 7th, 2025 a fire broke out at the historic Chipman Mansion in American Fork, Utah. While the occupant of the home, Debbie, was thankfully not inside- at the time of the fire the home and surrounding property was filled with the local stray cat colony that Debbie has so graciously cared for years. Unfortunately, many of those cats did not make it out of the fire alive. Thanks to the local fire department and family some of the cats were rescued. Some even needed to be treated by firefighters with supplemental oxygen. The surviving cats are now in need of fosters and medical care. Some kind strangers and Celestial Zoo Pet Rescue have agreed to take in these cats to get the care that they need, but with their limited resources they are only able to take them in if we can raise the money for the vet bill estimate in advance. Debbie has spent so much of her time and money over the last several years to feed, spay and neuter, and care for these stray cats who have found some semblance of a home on her property. As she has just lost her home, she is still concerned for the welfare of these cats and we want to ease her burdens by raising the money to get these cats the care they need. Any amount helps!
