Support Local Business Family During Pandemic

Donation protected
I am the daughter of a Chinese immigrant family from Wuhan, Hubei. Despite immigrating to America 30 years ago and working extremely hard, my family can barely pass by during the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. My mother opened a Chinese restaurant dedicating to authentic Wuhanese cuisine in 2017 but has lost 90% of her business going from 50k in gross sales in December 2019 to 10k in March 2020. In addition, she has been carrying increased debt due to the loss of business and the pandemic- a remaining 100k of 240k for opening the restaurant, 12k for 4 waitresses’ wages, and 10k for her restaurant’s rent and utility bills. My father was previously a truck driver of 16 years but lost his job over an accident that was not his fault, which left him with 14 stitches on his head and debt. Though he has healed and paid off the debt, he has gained more as a chain reaction during financially difficult times of the pandemic. I am a current undergraduate college student paying for out-of-state tuition, which my parents are struggling tremendously with.

I spent a long time considering whether or not to ask for some help, especially knowing that there are many other families that are struggling more and worse than my family is. Any amount of support means the world for my family and me, and we plan to dedicate the funds to pay off debt and if possible, financially supporting my college tuition. Thank you very much for spending time reading all of this.
