Support Lluvia's Fight Against Neuroblastoma

Donation protected
On July 1, 2024 Lluvia was diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma at The Children's Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health in Hackensack NJ. Her treatment course will last between 1-2 years. Our lives changed instantly so rapidly. It all started with a bump on her right side of her eye. We thought it was a bump from Lluvia being so active. We took her the same day and were advised it was a bump from trauma. However, if the bump got bigger or worse to bring her back. In the course of 3 weeks the bump grew and we took her to her pediatrician where we were advised to taker her to Hackensack ER. Within 24 hours we were advised that they were suspecting this to be cancer. It was a traumatic hit for our family. So unexpected. Lluvia had to undergo surgery. They had to make an incision in her abdomen about 4-5cm long. She had to under go bone marrow testing where they injected 2 needles in her lower back. Lluvia then had to have a port inserted on her right side of her chest. The port is for her chemo treatment and for her labs. All this within days. Lluvia started her first chemo treatment on the 7th day. Lluvia has always been such a brilliant, intelligent, healthy and happy girl. I had to resign my grooming position at Furever Fresh located in Hoboken NJ. We currently now have my husbands one income and I am also 4 months pregnant. We have to travel once a week to check Lluvia's health and once a month Lluvia is having chemo treatment 10 miles away from home. If Lluvia catches any slight sign of fever or cough (any sign of possible sickness) we must rush her immediately to Hackensack Hospital. During her treatment we are staying at the hospital over a course of 5-7 days. Lluvia will undergo another surgery on her 2nd birthday to collect her stem cells so they can be frozen until her chemo finishes. They will then place these good stem cells back into Lluvia after chemo since chemo will destroy all her cells. We are requesting this donation for various reasons and costs including gas, meals, bills, clothing, essentials, car break down, emergencies etc. We would love to add that through this journey our family and friends have been keeping Lluvia in their prayers. We are strong believes and strongly believe that God is going to be with us throughout this journey until our daughter Lluvia is cancer-free. We appreciate any donations received. We also ask to keep Lluvia in your prayers. We would like to take this time to thank all the staff at Hackensack University Hospital for their great support and all the work they do. We also want to thank our family and friends for their continuous love and support.
