Came into the world inhaling great amounts of fluid that caused her to have respiratory distress. She spent 3 weeks at Spartanburg Regional where she was on the ventilator for 2 weeks. Many tests were run on her, and no answers were given on why she’s struggling to wean off oxygen. On 1/13/2025, the decision was made to transfer her to Prisma at Greenville Memorial where she could have specialists look into her respiratory issues and get the care that she needed to help her come home. Many more tests and procedures have been run on her to get answers, but still no firm answers on what is causing her problems. It has been deemed by her team of doctors on February 13th that Lizzie has Airway Malacia, and the road to getting her home will be a long journey.
