On September 14, 2025, our dear friend Jeffrey Glacken lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident. His sudden passing has left an unimaginable void in the lives of his daughter, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Glacken, 22, and his 2-year-old grandson, Eugene — the two people he loved most in this world.

Jeff was not just a father and grandfather — he was their rock, their provider, their everything. Lizzie and Eugene lived with him and Lizzie also worked for him. They were a close-knit unit, completely devoted to one another. With Jeff gone, Lizzie is now facing the overwhelming task of managing the emotional loss, legal responsibilities, and the financial challenges of caring for herself and her child on her own.

She is navigating estate proceedings, legal matters related to the accident, and the mounting cost of living, all while trying to grieve and stay strong for her son. For anyone, this would be a crushing weight — but for a young woman with limited resources and support, it’s nearly impossible to bear alone.

It’s not easy to ask for help, but right now, Lizzie and Eugene truly need a community around them.
