This GoFundMe was created by friends and colleagues to help ease the financial burden caused by lost income, medical expenses, and the challenges of recovering while trying to return to the classroom she loves.

Those of us who work with Liz know firsthand the kind of teacher—and person—she is. Liz is a dedicated middle school Language Arts teacher at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School who pours her heart into her students, her classroom, and our school community every single day. Teaching isn’t just her job; it’s who she is.

Outside the classroom, Liz is a proud mom of three children, all of whom attend Space Coast. Her oldest is a senior this year, making this an especially meaningful and emotional time for their family.

Due to a serious medical condition, Liz was forced to take an unpaid medical leave of absence. While she is doing everything she can to return to work, the physical demands and stress of teaching have made this transition incredibly difficult. As her friends and coworkers, we see how much she gives to others—often putting her own needs last. The truth is, Liz would never ask for this help herself. She is proud, independent, and always the one supporting everyone else. But as her coworkers, friends, and fellow Vipers, we know this is the moment for our school family and community to step in and support her.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference and allow Liz to focus on healing and caring for her family.
