Support Liz Landis in Her Fight Against Lymphoma

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

We are reaching out today on behalf of our dear friend Liz Landis, a remarkable woman who has dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding others in the world of education. Liz is a beloved principal at La Academia (and before that Columbia High School), a devoted mother to three wonderful kids, and a pillar of strength in our community. Recently, Liz received the devastating news that she has been diagnosed with lymphoma; it was not a straightforward path and started with thinking she had lung cancer. She is currently recovering from a major surgery where she had to have a large portion of her lung and tumor removed. This summer, she will begin chemotherapy treatment, which comes with the heart-wrenching reality of losing her hair and enduring many challenging days ahead. With her great sense of humor and wit, Liz has already named her first wig "Moira Rose".

Liz has always been the first to lend a helping hand, offering her unwavering support and kindness to anyone in need. She has touched countless lives through her work in education, always striving to create a better future for our children. Now, it's our turn to support her. The journey ahead is daunting, and while Liz is a beacon of resilience, she and her family will need our help to navigate the financial burdens that come with this fight.

Medical expenses are mounting, and Liz’s ability to work may be significantly impacted. In addition to the costs of treatment, there are daily expenses for food and household support that will become increasingly difficult to manage. We are asking for your generosity to help alleviate the financial strain on Liz and her family, allowing them to focus on what truly matters – her recovery and spending precious time together.
