My sister Liz Jackman is experiencing some complications following eye surgery and is not able to work - a recent operation on her right eye (a vitrectomy) went well, but the healing process can be slow, and sight may not return to her eye for another 6-8 weeks. Meanwhile, her left eye is having similar issues and may also need the surgery. Currently her overall eyesight is extremely compromised - she can't see to drive or work. We are very hopeful that she will recover much of her eyesight, but right now she needs financial assistance to get her through this difficult time.
Liz is an extremely personable woman with a great sense of humor and a strong commitment to helping others. She greatly enjoys her work at Insight Human Services, and is hopeful that she'll be able to return when this health crisis has past. She loves her clients and they love her!
The old adage "Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet" was written for Liz. She loves helping people, and has done so all her life. But right now she is in need of help, and we humbly ask that you consider donating to help Liz with her living and medical expenses.
One bit of housekeeping on the GoFundMe page - you can adjust the "tip" they ask for on the donation page.
