Help Olivia “Liv” Cook Cover Expenses During Cancer Treatment

In October 2025, our beloved friend Olivia “Liv” Cook received news that would change her life—she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Liv underwent brain surgery, and her neurosurgeon was able to successfully remove the entire mass. Initial testing largely suggested the tumor was benign, but one test came back inconclusive.

To be safe, Liv then had to undergo a spinal tap to collect cerebrospinal fluid and multiple MRIs to rule out cancer. Unfortunately, imaging revealed multiple metastases along her spine. While the spinal fluid cytology came back clean, molecular testing showed abnormalities. Liv was ultimately diagnosed with ependymoma, a rare cancer of the brain and spinal cord.

Liv will now be undergoing radiation therapy to treat the cancer.

A few months ago, a GoFundMe was created to help Liv manage the overwhelming expenses related to her brain surgery and initial recovery. The generosity and support from that fundraiser made a tremendous difference and helped cover medical costs, time away from work, and daily living expenses during an incredibly difficult time. We are forever grateful for that outpouring of love.

As Liv begins this next phase of treatment, new challenges and expenses lie ahead. She has had to put life and work on pause while recovering from brain surgery, and although she is slowly able to return to work, it’s unclear how much she will be able to work while undergoing daily radiation treatments. Medical bills, travel, and everyday expenses continue to add up, and no one should have to choose between paying their bills and receiving life-saving medical care.

We are raising funds to help ease that burden so Liv can focus on what matters most: healing.

A Little About Olivia Cook

A Northeast Ohio native, Liv currently lives in South Carolina, where she works as a Lead Occupational Therapist. She pours her heart into her work and into caring for her patients. On top of that, she’s back in school earning another graduate degree at the University of South Carolina (because that’s just who she is). Liv is a proud alumna of Bowling Green State University (talons up!) and Lenor-Rhyne University. She loves to travel, makes absolutely killer Christmas cookies, and adores her dog, Zoe. She’s a star soccer player, loves yoga, ice cream, pumpkin spice season, and Biaggio’s donuts (iykyk).

Most importantly, Liv is one of the kindest, most selfless people you’ll ever meet. She’s always the one showing up for others—now it’s time for us to show up for her.
