Hello! We are Tim and Sarah Roth of Living Light Farms, a small family farm in central Illinois. We find ourselves with a wonderful problem: our egg production enterprise has outgrown our ability to process all the eggs by hand, in our kitchen. At this point, we need to purchase an automated egg-washing machine and build a climate-controlled room in our garage to house and operate said machine. The quote we have received for the room is $3000-$4000. As for the egg washer, the base model will run us about $5,000, with various additions raising the cost as high as $10,000. We can add the bells and whistles later without incurring extra cost by just buying the fancier package outright, so that is our plan. Our goal of $10,000 would cover the construction of the room, the base model of the egg washer, and hopefully some counters, possibly a sink, and any other miscellaneous items that always come up with this sort of project. We appreciate so much all the involvement and support we receive from our customers, and we love being able to supply you all with clean, humane, locally raised meat and eggs.
