Update: Over the last couple of months my Dad has been at Sturdy Hospital on three occasions due to neutropenia. On each occasion there were concerns about his passing away. Each stay was over a week. Most recently, he was rushed into Brigham and Women's because he developed Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP). he was unable to take more than ten steps without running out of breath and feeling pain in his chest.

The tumor has shrunk, though not completely and not to the expectations of his doctor. He goes in for a PET scan March 6 to reevaluate.

Update: My Dad was released from Sturdy Hospital yesterday. Next chemo is this Wednesday.

Update: Due to his compromised immune system, my dad has caught the flu (of all things). Sunday night he was rushed to the hospital due to a high fever. He is still there as of August 21, 2025. It was likely fatal unless my mom, sister and I pushed him to go to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

About five years ago my father had heart surgery and was out of work for quite some time. Go Fund Me helped us out then. I am hoping you can help again.

My father has been working since he was 15, often two if not three jobs. Over the years he has obviously had to scale back. In 2001 he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and is managing that as best he can. In 2020, his failing aortic value was replaced via open heart surgery. This was the cause of the above-mentioned campaign.

Now my father has Stage 2 splenic lymphoma. He is beginning chemotherapy next week and will be unable to work for several months. He has been successfully working in the renewable energy business, but he works on commission. No new accounts, no commissions.

I am hoping that we can raise some money to cover household debts (utilities, food, mortgage) while he is unable to earn a living. We are sure he will be cured and return to work in about four months. My mother is disabled and has been receiving SSI for many years now.
