I’m sharing this on behalf of Liutauras and Arnolda — a couple whose love story began in high school and has grown into more than 20 years of devotion, resilience, and a life built firmly on love. Together, they’ve created a warm, welcoming home in our community and raised their wonderful daughter, Amanda, now 17.

Last year, Liutauras began experiencing symptoms that felt heartbreakingly familiar — signs reminiscent of the cancer he bravely fought 10 years ago. After weeks of tests, uncertainty, and hope, the family received the news they had feared: the cancer has returned, and this time it is far more aggressive.

What began as prostate cancer years ago has now developed into a tumour on the aorta — one that has grown rapidly, causing his cancer cell count to triple in a single month. Liutauras has endured treatments, surgeries, heart complications, and countless setbacks. Yet through it all, he has shown quiet bravery, remarkable strength, and an unwavering will to keep fighting.

Even in the midst of his health struggles, Liutauras achieved something extraordinary: he completed a Four-year degree at UCC, earning his Bachelor Degree while facing health challenges most couldn’t imagine. He has been working toward building a stable future for his family — a future now on hold as they navigate this devastating turn.

Anyone who knows this family knows how deeply they love, how generously they give, and how quickly they show up for others. They have always been the first to offer kindness, support, or a helping hand. Now, they are the ones who need support — emotionally, physically, and financially — as they face the most difficult season of their lives.
