Help Save My Service Dog, Littleman

My name is Heidi, and I’m asking for help to save my beautiful boy, Littleman. He’s not just a dog—he’s my family, my emotional support, and my former service animal. He desperately needs surgery to remove a broken canine tooth with an exposed nerve. The pain is causing fear-based aggression, and without this surgery, he may decline to the point where he has to be put down. I cannot afford the procedure on my SSDI income, and I’m pleading for help to give him a chance at healing.

Littleman’s Story

Littleman has fought for his life since the day he was born. His mother was rescued from a dog-fighting ring and, after developing mastitis, could no longer nurse her puppies. She attacked them out of pain and fear—including Littleman. At only two weeks old, he came home with us and became my baby. I bottle-fed him every two hours, took him to work with me, and helped him grow into a gentle, loyal dog. He later trained to become my service animal and did an incredible job.

After my husband passed away, life became unstable for all of us. While staying at a friend’s house, Littleman was attacked by two other dogs. The injuries were so severe the vet didn’t know if he would survive the night. He endured multiple surgeries and a long recovery, but the trauma left him with PTSD and fear aggression toward other animals.

This year brought even more heartbreak. Littleman and my female dog had a litter of puppies. When a cougar threatened them, their mother protected her babies—but she didn’t survive. Losing her devastated Littleman. Then, while grieving, he broke a canine tooth. The exposed nerve causes constant pain, worsening his fear and aggression. Even I have been bitten while trying to help him.

Why We Need Help

Littleman’s vet and trainer both believe his aggression is driven by pain and that removing the damaged tooth—followed by continued training—will allow him to return to the loving, stable dog he once was. I truly believe I can have my service animal back, but right now, he can’t safely be around people or animals until he gets this surgery.

All funds from this GoFundMe will be paid directly to the veterinary clinic, and anything extra will go toward his continued training.

I’ve been disabled and on SSDI since 2011, and I simply cannot afford this lifesaving procedure on my own. Littleman has survived cruelty, trauma, and tragedy—but he still fights to stay by my side.

Please help me save my boy. Anything helps.
