For Baby Elsie and her Family
I’m starting this GoFundMe for my dear friend, Elisha, and her beautiful family as they face a journey no parent should ever have to experience.

Their sweet 8-month-old daughter, Elsie, has been diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) with a KMT2A gene rearrangement, an aggressive form of leukemia that can affect babies under one year old.

There are no words to truly describe the heartbreak of hearing that your baby has cancer.

Elsie is just 8 months old—a happy, smiley, sassy little girl who loves to babble, explore the world around her, and watch Ms. Rachel. She should be spending her days discovering new things, making her family laugh, and growing up alongside her two big brothers.

Instead, this sweet little girl is facing something far too big for such a tiny body.

Elsie’s journey has already begun. She has had a Broviac central line placed, undergone a lumbar puncture, and has now started chemotherapy. Her family is preparing for the long road of treatment ahead, filled with hospital stays, procedures, medications, and countless difficult days.

Through all of this, Elisha and Elvis are doing everything they can to be there for their baby girl. But they are also parents to two other children at home. They are trying to navigate the unimaginable—being present for Elsie during her treatment while continuing to care for and support their two boys at home.

As her best friend, it is incredibly difficult to watch people you love go through something so heartbreaking and know that you can’t take the pain away. But what we can do is surround them with love and help carry some of the burdens that come with this fight.

Unfortunately, childhood cancer doesn’t just bring medical bills. It brings an entire new set of financial challenges.

The family is facing expenses for:

Medical bills and treatment-related costs
Transportation to and from the hospital
Food and everyday household expenses
Medications and medical supplies Elsie will need at home
Childcare and expenses for their two children at home
Lost income while Elisha and Elvis take time away from work to care for Elsie
Unexpected expenses that come with Elsie’s ongoing treatment and recovery

We are asking for your help so that Elisha and Elvis can spend less time worrying about finances and more time doing what parents should be able to do—holding their baby, comforting her, fighting alongside her, and being there for all three of their children.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can help ease a little bit of the burden this family is carrying.

And if you aren’t able to donate, please share Elsie’s story. A share can reach someone who can help, and that can make an enormous difference.
Most importantly, please keep Elsie, her parents, her siblings, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Pray for strength for her tiny body, wisdom for her medical team, for healing, comfort for her siblings, and strength for her parents as they walk through each day of this journey.

Elsie has so many people who love her and are standing behind her.

Our sweet Elsie, you are tiny but mighty. Your smile, your sass, your little babbles, and your beautiful spirit have already touched so many hearts. You have a whole army fighting beside you. Keep smiling, keep fighting, and keep being our brave little warrior. ️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving Elsie and her family, for praying for them, for sharing their story, and for helping carry them through this incredibly difficult time.

One day at a time. One treatment at a time. One prayer at a time.
We believe in you, Elsie. ️
