Me and Little Sparkle have lived together since 2020. In college, a friend was walking and heard little meows coming from the woods. Out came four little orange kittens and one black and white, all with white mittens on their paws. We adopted these kittens out to loving homes, one of them being mine. I gave the little tuxedo kitten the name Little Sparkle Jumprope Queen, and he quickly became my best friend and closest companion.

I adopted Little Sparkle four years and seven months ago, and have spent his entire life trying to take the best care of him possible. On November 17th, he stopped eating and on November 18th, I brought him to our vet. Here, we discovered he was in the early stages of heart failure. When the vet told me that our options were either to euthanize him or bring him to the animal hospital for further testing, I was shocked and heartbroken. We went to the animal hospital where they were able to stabilize him and give him medication for the short term, and where we learned he was born with a hole in his heart and that we could not cure his condition.

I am hoping to raise enough to cover the costs from these initial appointments and the cost to stabilize him. We aren’t sure how much time he has left, but over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been able to take him home and enjoy the time we have with him, and that time has been invaluable and so precious to me and all the other people who love him.
