Support Little Pete's ICU and Surgery Costs
Donation protected
This is one of my dogs, Little Pete. He had a freakish accident yesterday that we don't really know the cause of. We think he was hit by a car after the front gate was left open for about 10 minutes. He has sustained 4 fractured ribs, a fractured clavicle, and had some hemorrhaging from his thoracic artery. He remained awake and alert during his initial exam by the local vet and transport to U of F. He is currently in the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital ICU after having surgery yesterday. The latest report from the ICU doctor this morning is that they are amazed at how well he is doing and how much more improved he is from right after surgery. He will be offered food today. It is estimated that he will be in the ICU for 4-5 days, then will have to have further surgery to stabilize his thoracic wall (rib cage), most likely with mesh. I already have $7,500 invested in his care at U of F. It is not unlikely that the total cost can be upwards of $15,000. Any financial help in his care would be ever so much appreciated.
