Hello everyone, my name is Amalia and I am currently working at a Preschool in Manakara, Madagascar.

The children here come from very poor backgrounds. They receive three hours of lessons each day, as well as a warm lunch—for many, this is the best part of their day. Their joy in learning and being together is truly inspiring. After spending my first day with them I could clearly see, how much they love to come to Preschool, to spend time with their friends and learn new things.

The Preschool is funded by the AIC of Madagascar (Part of the International Association of Charities), but the funds are barely enough to provide the basic items essential for healthy development: toys, puzzles, books, and educational materials. Every Game and Poster you see in the pictures, is either Handmade by the teachers or provided by the AIC.
