On Thursday, November 13, 2025, my best friends life changed in an instant. She was in a terrible car accident that left her with serious injuries: her right foot and knee were dislocated, and on her left leg, she broke her femur bone and hip. She had 2 surgeries already! The road ahead is long and challenging. Lisette won’t be able to put any weight on her legs for several months, and when she’s ready, she’ll need to go to a rehabilitation center to regain strength and learn how to walk again since she cannot walk at all and after months of not being able to walk her brain will forget how to send the signal for her to walk so she will have to learn how to re walk. 

This accident has not only affected Lisette physically and emotionally, but it’s also put a huge financial strain on her and her family. They’re struggling to pay for medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and daily living expenses while Lisette focuses on her recovery. The stress of these bills is overwhelming, and every bit of support can make a real difference in helping Lisette heal and get back on her feet.
