If you ever met my mother Lisa, then you already know she’s one of those people who leaves an impact on everyone she meets. Lisa is genuinely a kind, giving, and selfless person—the type who would give the shirt off her back without thinking twice. She’s always been the one to uplift others, check on people when they’re going through something, lend a hand when help is needed, and show love in the purest way. Lisa has never been the person to ask for anything, even when she’s the one struggling. But today, I’m asking for support on her behalf because right now, Lisa is the one who needs us.

Lisa is currently recovering from a stroke and brain bleed, a medical situation that has been extremely difficult and unexpected. While she is working hard to heal, regain strength, and get back to feeling like herself again, she is also facing a reality that so many people unfortunately understand: the financial burden that comes with medical care. Medical expenses add up quickly—hospital bills, follow-up visits, medications, treatments, and appointments. On top of that, recovery often comes with additional day-to-day needs and limitations that can make it difficult to work, keep up with household responsibilities, and stay financially stable during a period where rest is truly required.

Right now, Lisa needs time to recover without the stress of wondering how she is going to manage everything financially. This is why I am starting this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial pressure Lisa is under and to support her during this healing period. All donations will go directly toward helping Lisa cover things like hospital and medical bills, follow-up appointments and ongoing treatment, prescriptions and medication costs, transportation to medical visits, home and basic living expenses while she recovers, and other necessities that come along with recovery.

If you’re not able to donate right now, you can still support her in a big way by sharing this post, sending prayers and positive thoughts, or leaving a supportive comment for her to see. Lisa deserves to feel surrounded by love and support the same way she has always poured love and support into others. Let’s come together for her in this moment and remind her that she does not have to carry this burden alone. Thank you so much for reading, for caring, for sharing, and for supporting Lisa during this time. We are truly grateful for every single one of you.
