The Schrack family has been facing an incredibly difficult week, and they could use your support.
My significant other's Mom, Lisa, underwent a planned & complex heart and lung surgery in San Diego on April 9th. The surgery was successful in removing calcified clots in her heart & lungs, and replacing a destroyed valve in her heart. However, she's faced a few set backs ( acidosis from pressure in her chest cavity which resulted in a second & third surgery, needing assistance from a heart & lung bypass machines, low oxygenation in her blood, unstable blood pressure, dialysis to assist in her kidney function, and - as of late - pneumonia) which continues to extend her ICU stay in San Diego. Lisa has the support of her loved ones near and far and her resilience remains strong. She will get through this, but the journey has not been easy for her or for those who love her most.
With each new challenge, the medical expenses continue to grow. The financial burden is significant, and it’s difficult to ignore that fact while focusing on Lisa’s recovery. All that said, we’ve reached a point where we need to ask for help from our community.
Asking for help isn’t easy, but here we are—and we are incredibly thankful for each and every person's thoughts, prayers, and donations. Any amount, big or small, will go a long way in helping ease the financial and emotional burden. Most importantly, your support will be a reminder that we are not alone during this challenging time. Thank you for standing with Lisa and helping us through!
