I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my mom, who has been facing a serious health crisis since the beginning of June. She’s been diagnosed with sepsis and is still battling lingering symptoms, intense pain, and swelling. Her recovery has been slow, and we’re seeking help as medical bills and lost income continue to pile up.

What Happened:

In early June, my mom began feeling extremely unwell. First, thinking it was a simple cold, but within days her symptoms worsened to include: fever, full-body aches, and severe neck pain. After weeks of no improvement, she was admitted to the ER. Doctors discovered a serious infection affecting her salivary gland, lymph nodes, and neck muscles.

She spent a week in the hospital on IV antibiotics and fluids, diagnosed with sepsis from a triple infection. The source of the infection remains unclear, and she’s continued to experience swelling, pain, and fatigue after discharge.

Why We’re Asking for Help:

My mom hasn’t been able to work since early June, and everything from the emergency visit to ongoing follow-up care is out of pocket.

Lisa is currently facing:

• Major medical bills from her hospital stay and testing

• Costs for specialist visits, dental imaging, and integrative care

• Lost income from two months of being unable to work

While she’s doing everything she can to heal, including pursuing a mix of conventional and integrative medicine, these treatments and diagnostics are expensive and often not covered by insurance.
