Help Fund Lisa's Violin Journey at Meadowmount this Summer

Hello! For those who don't know me, my name is Lisa, I'm 19 years old, and I am an undergraduate violinist. For 15 years, I've been working tirelessly, honing my craft, and working towards my dream of becoming a professional musician.

This year, I have been accepted into Meadowmount, one of the most prestigious and renowned Summer intensive Programs for musicians. It is my dream to attend this camp, which was established by violinist Ivan Galamian. In the past, countless world-renowned musicians, such as Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, and many more, have attended this program.

Unfortunately... the expenses for Meadowmount come at a steep cost. This includes a tuition of $5,300 and another $3,920 for Room and Board. I have been graciously awarded a generous $3,300 from the program and that still leaves me with around $5,900 left. I've started this gofundme to help relieve this financial burden so I can attend this camp.

My passion for music started at a very young age, and since then, I have been given numerous opportunities for my craft. This includes attending Summer Festivals such as Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Bowdoin International Music Festival, National Symphony Orchestra's Summer Music Intensive at the Kennedy Center, National Youth Orchestra of the USA (NYO-USA) at Carnegie Hall, and Aspen Music Festival and School on a full fellowship. All of these opportunities have come at little to no cost due to my efforts.

Meadowmount does not award as many scholarships as these other opportunities, however, I believe that this program is the important next step to take as an aspiring musician.
