Support Lisa's move to New Assisted Living

Hi, I need to move back to Lima to be closer to where all of my doctors are and Lucas is only 12 minutes away , right now I am almost an hour away. The assisted living I am at now furnished my room ( their furniture stays here) with a lift recliner which I require due to 4 fractures in my thoracic spine from severe osteoporosis , Psoriatic arthritis in my sacroiliac joint, degenerative disc disease and multiple herniated discs, May-Thurner with stent in iliac vein, which causes lymphedema and vascular congestion.

I have to use a compression device twice a day . for an hour. I also have a metal cage in my neck from C2-C7 due to the Psoriatic arthritis. Therefore, I am unable to lay flat and need help getting up out of a chair, so a reclining lift chair is required sit and sleep in.

When you go into an assisted living facility, your social security Disability is sent directly to the facility as is my long term disability until I am 65. I was also unable to keep my car as well. They take everything and give you a $50 allowance a month. Well, by the time I pay for a haircut and Walmart delivery, there is only a little left, hence, I need assistance with this necessary move. I have already been approved to move through Medicaid Waiver.

I have had the worst experiences with the MD/NP that I saw while here, , leaving me for weeks with this tooth abscess with absolutely no antibiotics and that caused me to have to be off all of my Psoriatic arthritis meds, which caused a flare of Lupus with uveitis in both eyes for week, she order the wrong med and to correct. There have been issues with the MD as well, and just really poor medical care from this MD/NP. I will be able to get back to my primary physician, who works hand-and-hand with all of my other specialists there in Lima, an hour from here.

There we were major issues with the transportation company. I had a 19 year old kid who had just totaled his personal car with 3 other teens in it, speeding, hit a tree, do they not screen people for driving a transport van. The whole ride, he was looking down his lap more than on the road. I had already complained about another driver who was in car accident as well, he was really banged up from that, should be doing dispatch or something, not driving, again head set on talking to the wife and daughter all of the time, always rides the center line. I don't know how many near head ons I experienced. I complained here and they complained to the company and the company has done nothing. All of the elderly patients fall asleep, they have no idea. I get to Lima, St Rita's and all of my doctors are right there and won't have to have panic attacks the night before and all the next day to the point I had to be put on Vistaril..

I will have a 1 bedroom apartment . Not sure what I will do with all that room, but I know my youngest son, who I have not seen almost 9 years, wants to come and visit, and he won't have to pay to stay in a motel, we will just get an air mattress.

The new. place goes on many outings and do many, many activities. I have never left this building since November except for MD appointments. Best of all they allow PETS!! I really need one, I have always had a loyal companion/best friend. Mustang was trained as a service dog , not only for my hemiplegic migraines , but PTSD, so that will be super nice.

I have absolutely no issue with the assisted living I am at currently. I love my room and they were super kind to furnish my room when I moved here knowing I had nothing. I love all of my nurses and aides and will miss them all.

My caseworker from Medicaid Waiver and I discussed the facility and what to do about the furniture, the pet, and my move and this was the amount she determined. I wanted to explain as I do not like to ask for anything. I know some are thinking what about this Thrive thing going on. The vitamins make me feel better. I don't make anything, I earn credits for more product. As long as I refer 2 people and they purchase and meet certain criteria, then I Thrive for Free the next month as I certainly cannot afford it.

Moving costs for clothes, all of knickknacks, boxes of stuff, filled the back of van and I know no one, so hoping Lucas will help, but will stay have to rent something and pay for help, if he's not available.
