Support Lisa's Life-Saving Surgery

As many of you all know, my sister Paaj had an emergency open heart surgery back in May of 2024. She suffered a torn aorta (Grade A)and by the Grace of God, she is still with us today! Doctors said only 10% of people make it with the kind of tear.

I am making this Gofundme is for my other sister Lisa. Back in 2019, Lisa had just picked up her daughter from work and all of sudden she started to have chest pain and couldn’t breathe. Lisa was able to pull over and call 911. Lisa was rushed to the nearest hospital and that’s when doctors found that Lisa’s aorta had torn. Lisa was in ICU for a week with a Grade B tear.  No surgery needed…at the time.

Over the years, the tear is still grade B but it’s slowly tearing. Lisa’s doctor confirmed a couple months ago that it was time to repair it. It is more safe to repair it now than if it became an emergency like our sister Paaj.

This will be a major surgery as it will take 8 to 10 hours. Lisa will be in the hospital for at least a month and recovery time is at least 6 months to a year.  

Lisa’s doctor put her with the best team of doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and her surgery is scheduled for January 30th.

If you know Lisa, you know she has a heart of gold! She has the most beautiful soul! Lisa will always be the first person to be there for you, day or night.

We are asking for donations as both Lisa and Sith will be taking time off of work without pay. Lisa and Sith still have three younger kids at home, the youngest Vivian (6), who has down syndrome and rely on both parents.
