First, thank you to those who have donated and especially for the prayers. Lisa has started PT and been impressing the therapists. Her positive attitude and determination are serving her well❣️She is healing well after 2 surgeries. Our family is so grateful
On Saturday, April 26th, my cousin, Lisa Milhoan underwent an emergency amputation of the right foot in order to save her life. She had a subsequent surgery on Thursday, May 1st, to prepare her to be able to begin the healing process. She will undergo extensive physical therapy in preparation to be fitted for a prosthetic device.
If you know Lisa, then you know what a selfless, caring, compassionate, and giving person she has always been. She has assisted more people than I can count and many I am sure I don’t even know about. She is a strong Christian who serves others daily by sharing her love for God and family.
Lisa and her husband John have opened their home to numerous individuals, allowing them to live there for periods of time to get back on their feet or have a place to stay while finding housing. They are both constantly helping others.
And now, they find themselves in new territory where they need some assistance. Lisa is determined to return to a full life and continue working as a massage therapist and to teach Bible classes.
Along with the recovery process and therapy, Lisa will need modifications to her home and a car that can be modified to allow her to be independent. Her current vehicle is very old and will likely need to be replaced. She will need a chair lift to get downstairs in her home. And of course, there will be medical bills for her hospital, rehab, prosthetic device, and continued care. Funds will be utilized for the above items
I am humbly asking for donations to this GoFundMe on her behalf.
